  • 👑 Who can compete at US MISS?

    US MISS is open to young women and girls ages 4 and up, including those with differing abilities. All divisions are inclusive of single or previously married women, with or without children (for adult divisions).

    For youth divisions (ages 4–19), participants must be natural-born females who have never been married or pregnant.

  • 💬 Do I need pageant experience to compete?

    Not at all! Many of our contestants are first-timers. US MISS is beginner-friendly and all about building confidence. If you’ve got sparkle in your heart, you belong on our stage.

  • 👗 What should I wear for interview?

    All contestants must wear the official US Miss interview shirt from PageantPrints to ensure a clean, cohesive look.
    Pair it with a solid-colored athletic skirt or skort in one of the following colors:

    Black

    Pink

    White

    Makeup should be fresh and natural. This phase is all about your personality, poise, and how you communicate.

  • 💄 What are the hair and makeup rules?

    Ages 4–12:

    Age-appropriate styling is required

    Makeup is allowed but not necessary

    No contouring, bold lashes, or dramatic eyeshadow

    Clean, styled hair (natural or styled with simple pieces)

    Teen (Ages 13–17):

    Makeup is allowed but should remain elegant and age-appropriate

    Avoid heavy shimmer or editorial looks

    Hair should complement the outfit and remain neat

    Miss & Adult Divisions:

    More freedom in styling

    Makeup should enhance, not overpower

    Clean, polished, professional appearance is key

  • 💅 Are tattoos allowed?

    Yes! US MISS celebrates individuality—including your ink.

  • 📝 How do I enter the pageant?

    You can enter in one of two ways:

    Win a state title through your state’s preliminary competition

    Register for an appointed title directly through the national office

    Spots are limited, so don’t wait to claim your crown!

  • 💸 What’s included in the entry fee?

    Your $1,000 entry fee includes:

    Your state crown and sash

    All mandatory competitions

    The Luau Welcome Dinner

    A custom themed registration bag

    Your name on the official national roster

    A $200 deposit secures your title and is applied toward your total balance.

  • 📸 Are there optional competitions?

    Yes! Optional competitions are not required but are a great way to show your personality and talent. These include:

    Fitness

    Talent

    Pink Wear

    Photo Optionals (Headshot, Print Model, Black & White)

    Optional fees are are due 30 days in advance of pageant check-in.

  • 🎟 Do family and friends need tickets?

    Yes. Contestants attend all events for free, but guests will need to purchase spectator tickets for individual events or full weekend passes.
