To provide a positive and encouraging pageant experience that promotes self-confidence, public speaking, and personal growth for young women across the country.
We believe every contestant deserves a chance to stand tall, feel celebrated, and shine their light—whether it’s their first time on stage or they’ve been wearing heels since toddlerhood.
Just like a flamingo stands out in a crowd, our contestants are encouraged to embrace their individuality and lead with confidence. Our tropical-themed pageant isn’t just about feathers and flair—it’s about forming a flock of fierce, purpose-driven women who lift each other higher.

Melissa Jones
Founder & National Director, US MISS
With over 38 years of experience as a contestant, judge, and director, Melissa Jones created US MISS as a space where authenticity and empowerment take center stage. Her vision is rooted in inclusivity and leadership—and backed by decades of passion for helping young women find their voice.
Melissa lives in Sevierville, Tennessee, and is a proud wife and mom of three incredible children—Braxton, Josiah, and Kyleigh. As a mother, mentor, and advocate for confidence-building in girls, Melissa leads the system with heart, grace, and a love for flamingo flair.
Her personal connection to Give Kids the World Village—an organization that provided her own daughter with a life-changing experience—adds purpose to the sparkle. Under her leadership, US MISS not only crowns queens but creates changemakers.
